 Changing Your Computer Name

 

  1. Locate the Flint Community Schools asset tag.  It is right below the monitor, or on the bottom of the laptop.

  1. On your desktop, right-click
  2. Click "Properties"

  1. Click on the "Identification" tab
  2. Change the "Computer name:" to the Flint Community Schools asset tag number located below the monitor, or under the laptop.
  3. Change the "Workgroup" to FCS
  4. The computer description should be the make and model of your computer.
  5. Click "OK" to continue

 

  1. When prompted, click, "Yes" to restart your computer.
